Head of Financial Services APJ GTM Leader
As the Financial Services Go-to-Market Leader for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Databricks’ growth across Banking/Payments, Capital Markets and Insurance in the region.
You will drive the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy of the Financial Services business, cultivate strong executive relationships with customers/partners, and lead cross-functional teams.
You are a recognized thought-leader who understands the unique challenges faced by Asian financial institutions. You possess the ability to have strategic and tailored conversations with CxOs across APJ with a particularly strong POV in key markets such as Japan, India, Korea and Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity that offers the chance to travel, keynote at major conferences, and drive key partnerships. You will report to the VP of Financial Services, Cyber Security and Public Sector GTM.
The impact you will have:
- Design and execute repeatable sales programs across Asia that are tied to clear business outcomes.
- Become a trusted advisor to strategic customers on how Databricks can help executives achieve business goals with Data Intelligence.
- Collaborate with the partnership team to develop meaningful relationships with Systems Integrators and influence their GTM strategy across Asia.
- Work closely with product, sales, pre-sales, marketing, to partner teams to define and influence Databrick’s broad strategy for Financial Services.
- Identify operational gaps in the APJ Financial Services GTM motion, be data-driven about quantifying business opportunities, and execute improvement plans.
- Act as a credible thought leader in the industry by authoring white papers, speaking at events, and organizing executive events.
- Collaborate with the enablement team to build programs that enhance the field’s knowledge of core strategic priorities, regulations, and relevant case studies in the industry.
- Partner with marketing to develop tailored APJ case-studies, collateral, blogs and demand generation plans.
What we look for:
- You are a doer with deep knowledge of key business-level priorities, workflows, use-cases and Data+AI imperatives in the Financial Services.
- Minimum 10+ years experience working as an executive at an FSI, consulting firm servicing regional banks and/or at a leading software company in a similar capacity.
- Proven record of driving change at FSIs both from technical and business perspective with a strong understanding of how firms make decisions and ability to influence that decision making process.
- Strong customer-facing presence (CXO, IT and Leaders) and ability to cultivate executive relationships and open doors for the field.
- Strong knowledge of the FSI technical landscape and existing relationships with Hyperscalers.
- Hands-on experience with program managing complex technology initiatives which includes: collecting, tracking and prioritizing agency requirements, working with technical resources to ensure timelines are met, collaborating with marketing to develop marketing assets and event planning, working with partner teams to track partner relationship progress ensuring key milestones are met.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
