We want the selection in-app to reflect the very best of people’s local neighbourhoods and, more than that, we care about the communities in which we operate.
  • How we do it - which is ‘connecting consumers, shops, restaurants and riders’. We connect local riders, merchants and consumers to provide an on-demand service that offers new opportunities and experiences for each side of our marketplace, and we know that true connection goes beyond being purely transactional.

An exciting opportunity to revolutionize on-demand grocery and disrupt the future of retail - As Head of Grocery & Retail CVP in our HK office, you'll spearhead efforts to transform Deliveroo's value proposition and ramp up our rapid growth in the grocery and retail categories. Leveraging market insights and customer data, you'll redefine our selection and offering to delight customers.

What you'll do:

  • Combine creativity and analytical excellence to turn big ideas into reality, disrupt the status quo and accelerate revenue growth
  • Live and breathe the fabric of our marketplace, feel empowered to identify, prioritise and quickly act on opportunities
  • Grow the grocery business through expanding to new sites and partners, as well as working with marketing to grow our customer base
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to shape the strategy and initiatives, leverage on lessons of success from other markets and deliver on ambitious targets
  • Work with functions across the business on a daily basis (i.e. Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Operations) to improve customer outcomes
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to generate data-driven insights that inform commercial strategies and support decision-making
  • Regularly report to senior management on the progress of our key initiatives

What we’re looking for:

  • You'll have a strategic mindset, analytical skills and senior-level stakeholder management experience with a track record of exceeding financial targets as well as:
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy & program management roles. E-commerce or Grocery experience a plus
  • Proven track record in building plans, setting targets, and delivering results on time
  • Excellent ability to interrogate and understand data to identify areas for improvement
  • Adept at applying critical thinking to translate ambiguous problems into defined objectives and structured action plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and coordinate among senior stakeholders across multiple functions
