You will be the driving force behind our growth and success in serving companies across our international markets. The international customer segment is a strategic growth area as it is characterized by strong commercial metrics while still being underserved. This role embodies an entrepreneurial spirit characterized by ownership, accountability, a strong commercial sense, dedication to exceeding customer expectations, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment.

Role Responsibilities:
  • You ensure the international customer growth team is set up to achieve stretch targets 
  • You own and execute our Retention and upsell strategy across our international customer segments and set the direction to achieve company wide business goals
  • You hire and develop first-line managers within the team to become future senior leaders within our organization
  • You have a 1-2 year strategic view of how we are growing and retaining our international customer base in a scalable manner. You understand the bigger picture, think conceptually and guide teams and stakeholders on how to get there
  • You act as an Ambassador and represent Personio’s international customer base, both towards external and internal stakeholders
  • You align as a business owner frequently with central core functions to constantly optimize efforts across all International Markets (Product & Engineering, Sales Strategy & Enablement, Marketing, Customer Experience, Talent Acquisition)

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in sales and/or account management with a strong international background in a SaaS company
  • A proven track record of working with and of coaching high performing teams, either in significant turnaround or fast scale-up environments, including at least 3 years of experiences with 2nd line management.
  • A background in B2B SaaS and prior work experience in a fast-growing technology firm; preferably understanding sales and buying processes in B2B SMB (sub 2000 Employees). A deep understanding of the industry, and market dynamics to make informed decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and has the habit to build data based hypotheses, make conclusions based on data and thoroughly track quantitative results.
  • Continuously seek new strategies, technologies, and approaches to improve sales performance.
  • Previously worked in an international environment, managing multiple markets 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, multiple languages (French, Italien, Nordics) is a plus
