This role will be responsible for developing strategic media plans optimized towards high priority business outcomes such as brand awareness, new customer growth, target audience reach. Their primary focus will be coordinating and optimizing brand, social & offline media plans using consumer insights, media performance & trends, media impact, and creative effectiveness inputs. This role cuts across all of our brand marketing channels to deliver smarter budget allocations, campaign / seasonal flighting plans, agency coordination and cost optimizations. 

The ideal candidate has experience using consumer research, market insights, and media performance to build, iterate, and steer a media strategy through marketing channels. They are familiar with media planning tools and models, and can operate on a local and national scale. They have strong critical thinking and are able develop scenario models to forecast outcomes and associated trade-offs. 

The right candidate will have deep understanding of traditional and digital media, significant past experience with planning, buying and measurement tools (e.g. MediaOcean, Nielsen, Comscore, GA4), and strong analytical thinking to drive scenario modeling. They also have the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations for executives, marketing leaders, and channel managers. 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute integrated media plans that align with overall marketing objectives and brand strategy, leveraging a deep understanding of consumer research, market insights, and media performance data.
  • Conduct analyses of media landscape, audience behavior, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and optimize media mix across channels
  • Utilize media planning tools and models to develop budget allocation scenarios, forecast campaign performance, and make data-driven recommendations. Identify missing capabilities and source, negotiate, and implement from 3rd party vendors.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and identify areas for optimization to maximize ROI and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manage brand media budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the media landscape, including emerging channels, technologies, and measurement methodologies.
  • Operate on both local and national scale, adapting media plans to specific market needs and opportunities.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in media planning and strategy, preferably in an agency or client-side environment, retail and consumer products a plus
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive, data-driven media strategies across multiple channels (digital, traditional, social, etc.) aligned with business objectives.
  • Expertise in media mix modeling, audience segmentation, and channel optimization.
  • Strong understanding of media buying principles and negotiation tactics.
  • Proven analytical prowess, detail orientation, and critical thinking skills to identify insights & trends from complex data sets which translate into action
  • Proficiency in campaign performance analysis and reporting, with a focus on ROI and actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a team environment with a strong, collaborative culture, ability to align stakeholders with competing priorities, including senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in creating and presenting media plans to clients / stakeholders

This is a hybrid position with M-Th in office and Friday's remote.
