Head of Legal Operations
The Google DeepMind Legal team provides proactive and strategic legal counseling to accelerate DeepMind’s best-in-class research, ensure smooth operations and enable fast-paced progress towards our mission. We are looking for an adept and enthusiastic Head of Legal Ops to oversee our legal operations support with a focus on legal team efficiency.

The RoleIn this role, you will partner closely with teams from across Google DeepMind to provide legal ops support.
Key responsibilities:- Lead the Legal Operations team, managing a high performing team of legal ops professionals, driving strategic planning and execution for a growing legal department, and overseeing daily operations of the legal team.
- Develop and manage the legal department's annual budget, including forecasting, spend tracking, cost-saving initiatives
- Manage the department's technology stack. Lead the exploration, development, and integration of AI-powered tools and other legal tech solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee and manage relationships with legal vendors, including law firms and technology providers, ensuring optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive the identification, development, and implementation of streamlined and efficient processes across the legal department to improve productivity, scalability, service delivery, and support operational risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement a data-driven approach by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), generating regular reports, and providing actionable insights to inform decision-making.
- Champion and implement effective knowledge management strategies and systems to ensure critical legal information, precedents, and resources are organized, accessible, and leveraged across the team.
- Partner closely with other teams across Google DeepMind and Alphabet to ensure alignment and support for legal initiatives and operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $192,000 - $270,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
