As Head of Payroll Operations, your teams provide best-in class payroll support for all Personio payroll customers, including the implementation of the product, ad-hoc support, and Professional Services. Your efforts drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement of our end-to-end payroll processes, which directly translates into a high customer lifetime value and active Personio promoters.

You have full operational, budget and revenue responsibility, for the daily business as well as the further development, ramp-up and enablement of the teams you are responsible for. Your teams collaborate with a 2nd Level team within Product Development to identify product/market gaps in Personio and to continuously improve them. Your feedback to product teams directly contributes to further product automation and a great user experience. 

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Build, Lead, and Develop: Leading a highly motivated and focused business unit of Payroll Specialists and teams within Customer Operations. Enabling & supporting them to excel in their job, and take responsibility for their performance. Empowering them to act independently within their assigned area of responsibility 
  • Customer Satisfaction: Main responsibility for the satisfaction of our German Personio Payroll customers through a high-class software and payroll support, with further possibilities of expanding in the future.
  • Continuous Improvement: Design and continuously improve of all internal payroll support processes as well as the efficient internal collaboration with the 2nd Level product team.
  • Measuring Success: Definition and monitoring of a set of meaningful KPIs that measure the success of your team.
  • Continuous Learning: Constantly expand your knowledge of Payroll regulations as well as the Personio product and keep up to date on any changes.
  • Project Delivery: Carrying out projects with the objective of sustainably increasing quality, efficiency, and flexibility in the Payroll Operations team.
  • Enablement: Development and roll-out of an internal training program to ensure continued feature developments and improvements are translated into implementation in live support, enablement.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • Several years of experience in a leading position of a Payroll team (focused on payroll preparations and calculations) - ideally being a leader of leaders.
  • An expert in running and developing teams in a fast-growing company.
  • Experience working based on budget and revenue targets.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and the highest standards for the quality of your work.
  • You lead and develop your employees with passion and at eye level
  • You are creative, and a strong communicator in English. German skills are a plus.
