As we scale and grow as a company our needs are becoming more complex and harder to solve with off the shelf solutions. This is a brilliant time to join Monzo as you will inherit two great folks with long Monzo tenure who know the nitty gritty of People history whilst also having headcount to build out the rest of the team to meet Monzo’s growing demands. We are looking for someone who is excited to set an inspiring vision and then grow fast whilst in control to ensure we’re able to realise that vision compliantly. You will collaborate with our most senior leaders in People and beyond to realise the true value add of a People Technology Strategy.

The Role What you'll be doing:
  • You’ll create and champion a multi-year roadmap that aligns with our overall strategy, delivering actionable insights and a seamless experience for our team.
  • You’ll be a thought leader, bringing the best industry practices to drive digital transformation, self-service, automation, and improve the experience for both employees and candidates.
  • As the leader of the People Technology Squad, you’ll guide the team in delivering top-notch tech services. You’ll collaborate with different teams to ensure we design and implement solutions that work across the business.
  • You’ll work closely with our People Data Manager to ensure we have high-quality data and build a data-driven culture, helping us mature in this space.
  • You’ll also collaborate with our Systems Lead to manage relationships with external vendors, making sure we get the best solutions for our needs, from selecting providers to negotiating contracts.
  • Finally, you’ll set up strong governance and controls to protect the integrity of our data and reports.

Your first year in the role will look like:

  • Building a high-performing team. You’ll bring together a team of high performing people who will deliver against the people technology strategy. 
  • Evaluating the current People tech stack and developing a strategy and technical roadmap to support business needs. 
  • Building relationships with key cross-functional experts e.g Technical Operations, Data Protection, Security etc.

You should apply if: 

  • You’ve got hands-on experience in designing and leading People Technology strategies, and you’re just as comfortable moving from big-picture strategy to getting things done.
  • You know HR inside and out everything from strategy and processes to best practices and you’re great at collaborating across teams in a global, matrixed environment. Plus, you’re skilled at influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • You’ve built and worked in auditable, compliant ecosystems, and you’ve got a solid technical understanding of third-party APIs, solution integrations, and ERP systems.
  • You're also clued up on GDPR and the laws around data privacy and HR operations.
  • And of course, you’re a passionate leader who loves managing and growing people.

    The interview process:

     Our interview process involves 3 main stages: 

  • 30 minute Recruiter Call
  • Initial Call with our a member of the team
  • 2-3 interviews
  • Our average process takes around 2-3 weeks but we will always work around your availability. You will have the chance to speak to our recruitment team at various points during your process but if you do have any specific questions ahead of this please contact us on business-hiring@monzo.com
