Head of Retail - Youfoodz (m/f/x)
The Head of Retail reports to the Managing Director of Youfoodz and is responsible for the growth and performance of Youfoodz Retail vertical; and strengthening our presence in key retail channels. In this role, you will join the Senior Leadership Team of HelloFresh ANZ, have ownership of the Retail P&L for Youfoodz and be responsible for delivering on the next-step of growth and performance in Retail for Youfoodz.

- Work closely with the Managing Director to set the strategic direction, develop and execute strategic Retail sales/marketing plans to drive above-market growth, deliver profitability and increase market share.
- Leverage your own (and cultivate new) deep, strategic and impactful relationships with retailers and retail networks, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Lead a team of account managers across the various Retail channels to engage and grow key accounts – managing the commercial agenda and terms with channel partners.
- Work with the sales leadership team to effectively deploy field sales teams by account tier; and sign-on new accounts and channel partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product/Innovation teams to bring the most exciting Youfoodz products and concepts to life within Retail.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer insights to inform strategy and decision-making
- Maintain a real-time view of competitive movements in the market and Youfoodz position and advantage vis-a-vis competitors.
- Work closely with the Youfoodz brand team to translate the Go-to-Market strategies into impactful messaging, creatives and activation plans.
- Monitor and report on the performance of retail initiatives, making adjustments as necessary incl. to approaches and activations of retail marketing campaigns
- Collaborate closely with the online (B2C) marketing team to ensure consistency of approaches, offerings and messaging across verticals.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and key account meetings to promote our brand and products.
You have/are..
- 10+ years experience in Retail, sales, marketing and/or business management – having worked in commercial management and/or sales leadership roles; specializing in FMCG, F&B, and/or Retail.
- Extensive experience in and a passion for marketing and sales.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with retailer partners and key accounts
- Experienced record of results-oriented leadership of teams across account management, field sales, and marketing.
- Autonomous, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
- Strong commercial acumen with a strong understanding of retail economics and market dynamics – having overseen sales teams, and led revenue acceleration programs.
- Capacity to assess trade-offs and risks in strategy and decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Adhere to highest ethical standards and exercises independent judgment.
- This position requires 20-30% travel to various locations for client meetings.
