Directly reporting to the Youfoodz COO, the Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Manager, will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive safety and environmental framework across the business at all stages of the employee and production lifecycle, as well as driving a strong safety culture through all levels of Youfoodz.

You will…

• Directly report to the COO & lead the HS&E Advisor
• Develop and implement frameworks, initiatives and programs which align with HS&E components of Youfoodz’s strategic plan and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation;
• Develop reporting on key safety and environmental metrics;
• Develop and deliver educational material to employees at all levels of the organisation;
• Oversee the effective management of workplace incidents, WorkCover claims and return to work programs;
• Review and analyse daily operational reporting on safety metrics with key stakeholders;
• Ensure the effective management of risks and hazards, including the review, development and implementation of necessary programs, tools and reports to improve safety outcomes;
• Develop and manage an environmental impact plan;  
• Oversee WH&S training, and make recommendations for external providers as required;
• Lead and drive the HS&E function to positively impact a safety culture; 
• In conjunction with other stakeholders, contribute to the development and implementation of wellbeing programs and initiatives.

You have/are…

• Tertiary qualifications in WH&S or an equivalent discipline
• 8 years + experience in senior safety roles;
• Experience in the manufacturing/FMCG industry (food manufacturing an advantage);
• Demonstrated competency in developing strategic, company wide initiatives across safety and environmental areas;
• Extensive knowledge of HS&E legislation and best practice;
• Outstanding leadership skillsl
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, with the ability to think and act quickly and efficiently;
• High levels of resilience, professionalism and work ethic;
• Approachable, energetic and flexible in approach.
