The HR Automation Project Manager is responsible for utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA)/Analytic Process Automation (APA) technology through UiPath, Alteryx, or other solutions to identify, automate, and maintain highly manual and repetitive processes to align with our overall HR strategy. The role will collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to implement new and enhanced automated processes. You will be responsible for the complete rollout of the automation process to the business, which includes designing and delivering training material, procedures, job aids, and related policies. The role will analyze related business data and processes with an emphasis on identifying trends, finding the root cause of problems, and developing solutions to manage them in a way that drives effective business decisions. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a SME for automation technology and convey how Robotic Automation can support a proposed business process for the organization 
  • Ensure policy, practices, and compliance are correctly applied and processed through the employee life cycle when automating a process
  • Responsible for determining what business processes qualify as an automation candidate, which projects are implemented, the priority level of the project, and approve sign-off into production
  • Prepare RPA and Workflow Process Definition documents while providing how automation will improve the current process with cost savings
  • Create RPA user stories/cases with business rules and exceptions for automation projects in development
  • Complete UAT testing and postproduction testing while meeting tight deadlines and deliverables
  • Postproduction ownership of RPA processes, ensuring continued efficiencies, compliance, and management of business change requests
  • Maintain functionality with HRIS system updates and develop testing protocols to support
  • Responsible for future enhancements of existing RPA initiatives currently in production
  • Provide Senior Leadership with risk analysis, project status, and regular project updates, including MBR (Monthly Business Review)
  • Create processes/policies in support of automation; create training material and communications and effectively execute to the organization
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect HR operations by handling information with the highest level of confidentiality
  • Lead the implementation of automation solutions and ensure accountability and consistency in execution    
  • Apply analytical methods and resources to understand, predicate, and control operations and processes as requested by business owners on an ad hoc basis

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience executing the responsibilities outlined above (additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Project management experience, with the ability to execute successful projects requiring interaction and influence at multiple organizational levels
  • Strong Excel experience with the ability to create diverse reports/graphs (including VLOOKUP, pivot, and templates)
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create effective and concise communications and training material
  • Possess the ability to prioritize, handle changing workloads, and exhibit professionalism under varying circumstances

Compensation & Benefits: 

Our salary range for a HR Automation Project Manager position is $110,500.00 - $176,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
