HR Coordinator

Position Overview:
The HR Coordinator at StepStone supports the global HR team with daily operational tasks and HR data management. This role also involves maintaining HRIS (UKG) records and handling administrative responsibilities throughout the employee lifecycle. The HR Coordinator will contribute to special HR projects as assigned. Success in this role requires a solid understanding of HR processes, strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the HR inbox by responding to employee inquiries and handling related tasks such as time-off requests, payroll questions, employment verifications, and employee data updates.
- Generate reports and compile data to support SOX compliance and internal audit requirements.
- Perform administrative tasks throughout the employee lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, terminations), including data entry, written communication, memo preparation, and document authorization.
- Conduct regular audits of HR data and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Participate in HR meetings, training sessions, and business improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure consistency in data entry and system usage.
- Support special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year University
- Minimum of 1-2 years Human Resources experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years HRIS experience or experience working with complex databases
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of key HR processes
- Basic knowledge of relevant industry issues
- Fluent in German and English
