We are looking for a HR Director, People Service Israel to join an extremely fast-growing global Fintech business who will lead People Services Israel team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, high energy environment.

What you’ll be spending your time on:

Collaborate with the Senior Director, Global People Services to design, develop, and implement the People Services operating model and strategy:

  • Establish efficient processes that improve the employee journey.
  • Streamline and standardize global practices, policies, and procedures where possible, while balancing local needs for consistent employee experiences worldwide.
  • Shift HR focus to strategy, knowledge sharing, reducing duplicated efforts, and enhancing the quality of HR services for employees and managers.
  • Prioritize operational excellence, risk management, and control in process design.
  • Champion continuous improvement within HR processes to improve effectiveness.
  • Utilize data and insights to shape HR strategies.

Manage HR policies and labor requirements for Israel:

  • Lead the People Services HR team of three in Israel.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, keeping up with market and regulatory changes.
  • Create, maintain, and implement local HR handbooks, policies, and guidelines.
  • Regularly review policies and practices, addressing issues or opportunities, and identifying areas for global consistency.
  • Provide expert HR consultation and support to leadership and employees.
  • Oversee audits and risk management.

Oversee local HR programs, projects, and processes in Israel, working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders:

  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding.
  • Supervise employee relations processes and documentation, such as leaves, performance plans, immigration, and terminations.
  • Refine onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive experience and identify opportunities for global consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with HRBPs, Total Rewards, and other HR functions to enhance critical employee interactions and improve the employee experience.
  • Develop programs and tools to elevate workforce experience, improve engagement, performance, and retention (e.g., L&D offerings, locally relevant incentives, and DEI programming).
  • Serve as the Sexual Harassment Prevention Officer for the Israel office, ensuring compliance with local requirements.

Drive global HR initiatives:

  • Take a global perspective on HR processes, programs, and offerings, identifying opportunities and creating solutions for improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional global HR projects.

About HR People Services Team

The HR People Services team is a newly created global team that will provide centralized HR services, discipline, and infrastructure support (global and regional programs and policies) to ensure an equitable and consistent experience for all employees. The team will support business functions as well as employees and work closely with HRBP teams to provide the best HR experience aligned with organizational strategy, structure, and current business needs.

The newly created HR People Services global team will deliver:

  • Strategy: Formulate an overall strategy for the HR People Services model at a global level to enable greater structural flexibility, improved organizational learning, and better utilization of managers' and employees' time, repositioning HR as a business-driven function focused on its strategic role in facilitating and supporting organizational change.
  • Transformation Plan: Develop a strategic and implementation plan to transform HR activities into the HR People Services model, including a greater focus on strategy, shared knowledge and systems, elimination of duplication, and improved service quality to employees and people managers.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure consistent implementation of all HR policies and procedures across regions, in compliance with both global standards and local regulations.
  • HR Services: Manage day-to-day HR tasks such as processing leave requests, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records.
  • Query Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries from employees and managers, providing timely and accurate HR solutions and services.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Collect and analyze HR data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, including workforce analytics, turnover rates, and employee satisfaction metrics, in conjunction with support from the HR Ops team.
  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, manage probation, and handle the exit process for departing employees to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Query Collection for Digital HR Portal: Gather employee HR queries to inform the development of a future self-service digital HR portal.
  • Learning and Development Support: Work closely with the HRBP team or global L&D team to implement training and development programs based on regional needs (which may vary by region).

  • Provide localized support that understands the unique cultural, legal, and business context of each region while upholding global HR standards.
  • Divide into key regions: Americas, Asia-Pacific, China, EMEA, and Israel.
