HR Generalist

We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful HR Generalist to join our HR team in New York. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is passionate about delivering high-touch support across the employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring smooth execution of core HR processes while contributing to projects that enhance employee experience and drive business success.
This role will be based in our New York, NY office.
What you'll do:
- HR Operations: Own and execute day-to-day HR activities such as onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leaves of absence, and data changes in HRIS.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, especially New York-specific requirements. Assist in policy updates and audits.
- Benefits & Leave Support: Partner with Total Rewards team to address employee questions as it relates to benefit programs and leave administration (FMLA, NY PFL, etc.)
- Performance & Talent Programs: Support performance management cycles, employee engagement surveys, and career development initiatives.
- Reporting & Insights: Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports to support decision-making and track key people metrics.
- People Projects: Collaborate on HR initiatives related to DEI, learning, wellness, and culture building.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR policies, practices, and general inquiries; help resolve employee concerns with empathy and consistency.
What we're looking for:
- 3–5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a generalist capacity
- Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws, particularly New York State and City
- Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, ADP, Greenhouse etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working across different time zones and cultures
Not a must, but a great advantage:
- Experience in a high-growth or tech environment
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
The annual base salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $90,000.
