The HR Manager acts as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to senior leadership within the distribution center. In this role, you lead complex, company-wide HR initiatives, develop and implement cross-site people solutions, and drive data-driven improvements that strengthen organisational performance.You are accountable for leading and developing a small on-site People team, setting clear priorities, providing coaching and professional guidance, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality HR support. This includes overseeing day-to-day HR operations such as employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, absence management, and compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Through a balance of strategic influence and operational excellence, you foster a high-performance, legally compliant, and employee centric culture, while building capability within the People team and supporting leaders to effectively manage their teams.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Managing a team of People Business Partners and Specialists, providing guidance and development, ensuring that KPI’s and SLA’s are met. 
  • Advising and supporting site leadership in implementing overarching HR strategies aligned with the company vision.
  • Role modelling the Company’s DNA and ensuring that these are followed by the team
  • Dealing with day to day queries from Colleagues – liaising with support functions as required.
  • Translating site and departmental strategies into concrete HR measures, including execution support and impact monitoring.
  • Identifying and implementing automation and digitalization opportunities within HR processes.
  • Ensuring that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met and sustainably maintained. You are required to cooperate with HelloFresh in all health and safety matters.  You are responsible for ensuring your own health, safety and welfare in the activities you undertake.  You must report incidents immediately and actively raise health and safety-related concerns to your Line Manager.
  • Undertaking problem solving activities and escalating to the Head of People Operations where necessary.
  • Coaching and acting as a true partner for senior leaders with a focus on productivity, leadership, and team culture.
  • Leading strategic HR projects (e.g., compensation cycles, performance reviews, engagement initiatives).
  • Analyzing and preparing people data to derive actions that enhance productivity, retention, and engagement.
  • Leading or being involved in ad hoc projects as and when required.
  • Championing key Company strategies; initiatives – eg: Employee Surveys; Diverse & Inclusive working; Colleague Wellbeing 
  • Developing and implementing site-specific HR policies and processes in alignment with overarching company standards.
  • Managing HR projects in close collaboration with central and international HR teams.

Who You Are:

  • Completed degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience as an HR Business Partner, including strategic HR Projects
  • Coaching, Communication, Stakeholder Management, Project Leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Employee Relations Law, HR Processes, HRIS, Data Analysis
  • Confident Stakeholder Management and Clear Communication at C-Level.
  • A natural “people person” with great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills and strategic solution development based on robust data.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
  • Contribution to site and company strategy through targeted People initiatives.

Location: The Granary, Banbury. Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm. 3 days in the office per week.
