THE ROLE
The HR Performance Specialist is a key member of Pure’s Human Resources Team. This role will partner closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), HR Operations, and Legal to effectively support employees and people leaders through fair and compliant performance management programs.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced HR professional who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated to innovate and improve processes. The HR Performance Specialist will work collaboratively on diverse, complex challenges, applying sound judgment and creative solutions to advance both business and employee success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner across HR Centers of Excellence (HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Talent Management) to design, implement, and operationalize a consistent corrective performance management framework that ensures fairness, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
- Manage and resolve performance concerns and behavioral issues with professionalism, discretion, and in compliance with local employment laws.
- Analyze trends and data to continuously seek process improvements and data-driven insights to make performance management more efficient, consistent, and employee-centered.
- Advise and equip managers with practical tools, templates, and coaching to foster effective performance conversations and drive accountability.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of performance cases, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years in HR (Employee Relations, HR Generalist, or HRBP support), or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to navigate and apply performance management frameworks, performance improvement actions, and U.S. employment law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret data, identify patterns, and suggest innovative solutions.
- Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with a practical and empathetic approach to resolving issues.
- A growth mindset and proactive problem solving approach.
- Familiarity with dashboards and case management tools is a plus.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
