About the team

This role is part of the Global Reward and People Operations team which is responsible for Rewards & Performance Management, our HRIS (Workday) as well as HR administration and payroll for all our entities in Europe and US. Together with Talent Acquisition and Employee Excellence (HR) Business Partners, we form the Global Employee Excellence function. This means that you will not only be a member of the Syncron Warsaw team and develop and work with local processes and procedures but will also be exposed to the global world of Syncron and by that, take part in developing Syncron’s employee offering to the next level.

About the role

As an Employee Excellence (HR) Specialist, you are our employees’ guide within the HR area and will assist them through the full employment life cycle. You will focus on ensuring that all employee related matters are dealt with in timely manner, that our employees are always healthy and safe, have their contracts on time, are up to date with all needed information and know that handling their HR and administrative issues has nothing to do with a visit to the dean’s office.

You will be part of a small but dedicated team that is responsible for all HR administrative tasks, including payroll preparations and calculations for our Polish organization. This means, that the ideal candidate would not only be a true people’s person but also highly skilled in reporting as this HR role requires many calculations, reconciliations and summaries to be provided to different parts of the organization as well as external stakeholders, on a regular basis.

Externally, you might also represent Syncron in matters such as Social Security, Personal Income Taxes, PFRON and similar, taking the responsibility for contacting various state offices. This role guarantees that you will deal with the whole range of employment areas starting with contracting and onboarding to performing settlements with leaving employees and issuing job certificates.

What would you do?
  • Prepare and administer employment contracts, extensions, and civil agreements for Polish entity
  • Conduct monthly payroll processes
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the onboarding process for new employees
  • Administer personnel and files
  • Monitor safety trainings and medical examinations
  • Administer absence and time sheets
  • Administer employee benefits, social security, and PFRON
  • Provide reports for the Statistical Office
  • Handle settlements and job certificates for leaving employees
What we expect:
  • At least 3 years of experience in Polish employment administration area
  • At least 1 year of experience in calculating Polish payroll in-house
  • Ability to report: ZUS DRA with corrections, PFRON, GUS DG-1 and Z-X forms
  • Proficiency in working with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Fluent Polish and English in speaking and writing
  • Ability to work in our Warsaw office at least 2 days per week
  • Being up to date with our local labor law changes in Poland
  • Ability to independently seek information
  • Very good communication skills
  • Strong focus on problem-solving
