About the Role

Reporting directly to the Hub Manager,  the Hub Coordinator will participate in scheduling on road delivery operations and providing front-line leadership. You will help execute the day-to-day operations of the business, coordinate vehicle capacity, serve as a support person for hourly staff, and champion health and safety initiatives ensuring site compliance .

Notes on schedule: 

  • The working hours for this role are: Saturday to Wednesday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
  • This is a 100% in-person role, meaning you will be required to come to our Delivery Hub located at 8385 Fraser Street, Unit 40, Vancouver, BC, V5X 3X8

What you will be doing:

  • Support a team of Delivery Associates to meet quality standards, achieve performance metrics, and execute the delivery processes end-to-end
  • Accountability for health & safety compliance, recordkeeping, reporting, and investigation
  • Meeting and exceeding service KPIs, and responding to customer service requests and escalations
  • Conduct morning team huddles to convey safety messaging, quality tips, and maintain engagement and open communication with employees
  • Perform dispatching functions for drivers while on-road. Direct activities and provide training, coaching, and guidance
  • Management of employee scheduling and time & attendance
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, GMP and policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies.
  • Help maintain an inclusive workplace culture and relationships with all staff, delivering on development and retention goals
  • Communicate any issues with Hub Manager and Fleet Asset Specialist
  • Providing End Of Shift reporting to Hub Supervisor with a breakdown of any on-road incidents and status of any returned boxes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety, GMP and policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies.
  • Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

  • 2+ years experience in delivery dispatch
  • Meet schedules/timelines and organize your own work. Can reliably work alternative and flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Basic proficiency in manipulating data and reporting
  • Can lift up to 50lbs and participate in physical job activities such as standing, walking, crouching daily. Can work in an environment that may be hot, cold, and noisy.
  • MHE license is ideal, on-site training is available
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Abbotsford, BC (Canada) Pay Range$50,000—$55,000 CAD
