We are seeking an HR Business Partner who will be responsible for driving a diverse set of strategic HR efforts including performance management, employee engagement and retention, organizational design, change management, compensation strategy, legal compliance, and HR operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with the business to provide coaching, mentorship, and HR solutions by being autonomous, collaborative, tactful, and impactful at all levels of the organization.

In this position, you will partner with business leaders and employees to provide HR consultation and drive cyclical and ad-hoc HR initiatives and routines to achieve department-specific and company-wide goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead client groups through cyclical HR activities and exercises (e.g., performance calibration and reviews, compensation planning, and employee engagement surveys).
  • Use a data-driven approach to advise business leaders on people-related strategies and decisions including headcount planning, organizational design, retention, compensation planning, and legal compliance.
  • Partner closely with all internal G&A partners including Talent & Recruiting, HR Operations, People Analytics, Compensation/Benefits, Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Information Technology, and Legal.
  • Proactively manage legal risk; ensure manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Proactively respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to the following: employee relations, company policies, learning and development.

What You Have

  • A degree in a Human Resources-related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of HR Business Partner, Management/Business Consulting experience
  • Experience supporting employee populations and being involved in day-to-day employment matters
  • Strong mentality for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done, and at the next moment being part of deeply sophisticated strategy discussions
  • Strong analytical skills, including reporting, synthesizing data to identify themes, and crafting solutions to address those issues
  • HR Generalist skills, including employee relations and employment law, and performance management
  • Strong advising and mentorship skills and the ability to build proven relationships with different people across the organization, both internationally and locally
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $113,000 - $169,000. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
