Human Resources Director
As the HR Director, you will serve as a strategic partner, working closely with our global Talent team to ensure that the needs of all Critical Mass employees are well-represented. You will play a pivotal role in various stages of the employee life cycle, including performance management, coaching, career development, and driving strategic HR initiatives.
The Human Resources Director will report directly to the VP of Human Resources.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Partnership:
- Act as a strategic partner to employees and leaders, providing guidance on internal conflicts, advising on development opportunities, and resolving complex employee relations issues
- Collaborate with account leadership, the Global Talent team, and career developers to enhance employee development and lead global projects
- Support overall organizational staff planning and strategy, working closely with HR Leadership, resource management, and discipline leads
Performance Management:
- Collaborate with the Global Human Resources team to ensure timely completion of performance reviews
- Conduct Talent Mapping sessions with account leaders, fostering transparency and proactively outlining career paths for our employees
- Oversee and manage the Human Resources team, supporting their professional development, growth, and effective execution of Human Resources programs and initiatives
HR Operations:
- Conduct regular reviews of Critical Mass's policies and procedures to identify opportunities for enhancements, ensuring that we consistently meet the evolving needs of our employees
- Educate employees on the appropriate interpretation of policies and procedures, and effectively communicate any updates or changes
- Lead and coordinate efforts with the HR team to ensure seamless execution and communication of new-hire information, employee changes, promotions, and salary increases
- Stay informed about industry events, news, networking opportunities, and employment regulations/laws, keeping our organization up-to-date and compliant
- Collaborate with HR Leadership to establish a structured communication schedule for employees, including regular weekly and monthly meetings. Use internal messaging channels such as Teams to distribute information from the Leadership Team and address individual, group, department, and office-related concerns
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in senior human resources leadership roles
- Extensive HR experience in a software, agency, or interactive web development environment
- Demonstrated ability to establish trust and inspire confidence across various levels of an organization
- Proven track record of driving pragmatic decision-making in a collaborative, fast-paced, team-based environment
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead, delegate, motivate, mentor, and build high-performing teams
- Exceptional ability to handle conflict, challenging situations, and work effectively with diverse working styles
- Strategic and tactical expertise in organizing and structuring operational activities
- Proficient in mediation, negotiation, and delivering impactful presentations
