This is an exciting opportunity to join the tax team of a dynamic, fast-growing, technology business supporting the expansion of its operation and activities. The Indirect Tax Manager position is a maternity cover contract role based on a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in Deliveroo's London office.

The Indirect Tax Manager will lead on and support the Indirect Tax Senior Analyst in the day to day management of Deliveroo's indirect tax compliance.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support and manage Indirect Tax / VAT compliance processes so that Deliveroo always reports, pays and collects the correct amount of VAT globally
  • Working with Deliveroo's external compliance partner to ensure accuracy of tax returns
  • Coordinate with Treasury to ensure that indirect tax payments are made
  • Identifying, reporting on and taking action on areas of risk, improvement or opportunity
  • Working closely with FinOps and FinRep teams to raise tax awareness, provide training and improve processes and control
  • Involvement in the delivery of automation projects and ensuring that indirect tax processes are up to date and documented
  • Work with the wider Indirect Tax team on ad-hoc compliance and advisory projects plus auditsContract-
  • Supporting the Indirect Tax team with external adviser spend and tracking

Requirements

  • Experience of VAT/GST compliance in EMEA jurisdictions
  • CTA, ATT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA or similar credentials
  • Confidence and ability to interact with business stakeholders, including non tax specialists
  • Advanced Excel
  • Ability to work with large data sets and excellent data analysis skills
  • Previous exposure to NetSuite advantageous
