To meet this demand, we are looking for passionate technologists to join our Solutions Assurance Team based in Barcelona, as a part of our growing Industry Solutions Team (IST), a remote/flexible, globally-dispersed team. 

Our objective is to align MongoDB as an optimized platform for AI solutions, and ensure we understand enterprise clients and their needs to drive modernization through artificial intelligence.

The responsibilities of this role include understanding the customer security requirements, documenting and communicating best practices while working with our business partners on validating the integration of their software components with the MongoDB ecosystem.

What you do at MongoDB

• Become a subject matter expert in integrating MongoDB Atlas and MongoDB Enterprise Advanced with third-party security and backup solutions like Nutanix, Cohesity, Veritas, and Rubrik.
• Design and implement robust MongoDB architectures, ensuring compliance with security standards such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53.
• Collaborate with our integration partners to document and test security and backup integrations, providing detailed documentation and best practices for seamless implementation.
• Support enterprise customers in risk assessments by ensuring their MongoDB environments are securely integrated with third-party tools.
• Partner with the Industry Solutions team to provide customized integration solutions and technical presentations for accounts ranging from startups to large enterprises.
• Act as an internal and external expert on third-party integrations (not as technical support), guiding field teams and other departments with integration-specific knowledge.
• Proactively contribute to the team by mentoring others, sharing best practices, and driving improvements in integration processes.

As an ideal candidate, you will have

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the tech sector, or relevant technical experience in other sectors. 
• Ability and willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new industries
• Experience in product security, AI security, machine learning security, or IT security.
• Familiarity with security standards and regulations relevant to AI and data privacy. (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, FISMA, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, EU AI Act, CMMC, PDPA, PIPL)
• Strong understanding of data technologies and their potential vulnerabilities.
• A balance of technical knowledge as well as communication/presentation skills
• A foundational knowledge of data, data science, data analytics, and/or data engineering (you will become more of an expert on the job!)
• A diverse experience or interest two context switch between different environments and requirements, e.g. backup software and GenAI
• The ability to manage and work with multiple stakeholders effectively
• A pro-active, self-starter with the drive to learn new skills and become an expert in that field
• A strong sense of team-work working towards a common goal with process-oriented skills
• Willingness to mentor more junior team mates

As an ideal candidate, you may also have

• A Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in the tech sector
• Experience with cryptographic techniques and secure communications protocols.
• Experience with databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers or database vendors
• A MongoDB Certification 
• Proficiency in more than one language
