We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure and Cloud Architect to join our Infrastructure area. As an Infrastructure and Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust systems and network architectures to support both on-premise and cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with our Enterprise Architect, infrastructure, and network teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across all systems. 

A taster of what you will be involved with:
  • Architecture Design: Design and develop scalable and secure systems and network architectures to meet the organization's current and future needs. This includes on-premise setups, cloud setups (mainly AWS), active directory environments, and network connectivity architectures. 
  • Infrastructure Support: Provide expert-level support to the infrastructure team in implementing and maintaining server infrastructure, storage solutions, virtualisation technologies, and other critical components of the IT infrastructure. 
  • Network Management: Oversee the configuration, management, and optimisation of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Ensure network security and compliance with industry best practices. 
  • Cloud Integration: Lead efforts to migrate and integrate on-premise systems to cloud platforms, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance in hybrid or multi-cloud environments. 
  • Active Directory Administration: Manage and administer Active Directory environments, including user and group management, GPOs, domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, and other related services. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for systems and network architectures. Promote adherence to industry best practices and compliance requirements. 
You’re Good at:
  • Proven experience with 3+ as a Systems Architect, Network Architect, Cloud Architect or similar role in a complex IT environment. 
  • Strong understanding of AWS Cloud security and Infrastructure Security including Network and server security 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and CCNP) are a plus. 
  • Strong background in Linux administration 
  • Excellent skills in Terraform, Bash, and Ansible 
  • Strong familiarity with Git, including branching, automation workflows, and merging strategies. 
  • Understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns. 
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing on-premise and cloud-based systems and network architectures. 
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security principles, and best practices. Experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures, leveraging advanced routing protocols such OSPF and BGP. 
  • In-depth knowledge of on-premises infrastructure including servers, SAN/NAS storage devices, fibre channel network and backup infrastructures. 
  • Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including domain management, group policies, LDAP and SAML integrations. 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms mainly AWS, especially on Transit GWs, ACLs, Network Firewalls, Cloud WAN, Backup Manager, EKS networking, and Route53  
  • Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset. 
Other Requirements:  
  • Proven practical communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate and platform architecture to other Architects (Area and Enterprise), Area product managers and the technical teams 
  • Adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, and efficient use of resources 
  • Experience with Identity solutions
