THE MISSION

The Infrastructure Manager is instrumental in managing and optimizing Zuora’s IT infrastructure, systems, and technology uptime , availability and security. Your mission is to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and secure IT systems. Your responsibilities will include managing vendor relationships, budgeting for infrastructure projects, and staying abreast of emerging technologies to drive innovation. Ultimately, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a resilient IT infrastructure that supports the organization's growth and success.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the role of our seasoned Infrastructure Manager, specializing in IT infrastructure, Cloud infrastructure and enterprise productivity SaaS application landscape, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading a lot of exciting initiatives and creating profound impact. Following are the high level responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Design:

    • Develop and execute strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure in alignment with business objectives.
    • Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions to meet current and future needs.

Deployment and Maintenance:

    • Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers, public cloud systems, and other foundational infrastructure components.
    • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of infrastructure systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Team Leadership and Management:

    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of IT professionals responsible for infrastructure operations.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Vendor Management:

    • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, including evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts.
    • Ensure vendor compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.

Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce security measures to protect Zuora's IT infrastructure from cyber risks.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, conducting regular security audits and risk assessments.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT infrastructure and business critical IT applications.
    • Test and validate disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or disasters.

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

    • Prepare and manage budgets for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
    • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and recommend investments in technology infrastructure.

Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on the performance, availability, and security of IT infrastructure to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT infrastructure management.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing changes to enhance overall infrastructure operations.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on design, deployment, and maintenance of complex IT systems.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing a team of IT professionals.
  • Strong technical skills in cloud infrastructure, server administration, IT application administration, and enterprise SaaS platform landscape.
  • Experience with enterprise-level infrastructure and application platforms (e.g., Google, Atlassian, Okta, Microsoft, AWS etc).
  • Hands-on experience with devops practices such as CI/CD, release management, and foundational understanding of Networking would be a huge plus. 
  • Automation / scripting experience in general purpose languages such as Python or automation frameworks like terraform or ansible would be a great value add
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing IT infrastructure projects, from planning to execution.
  • Ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and make strategic decisions to optimize infrastructure operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

The base pay range for this position is only one element of a candidate's total rewards package, which may also include bonuses/variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
