Role: Integrated Designer
Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
ROLE MISSION
Working in partnership with our client, the Integrated Designer will have a strong background in both print and digital design, with the ability to create cohesive and impactful design assets across various media types. The Integrated Designer works closely with the Art Director to deliver high-quality assets for print, booklets, merchandise, point of sale, event stands, as well as digital, display, email, social media, and marketing materials using new brand identity, messaging, graphic devices, and animations.
The Integrated Designer's responsibilities differ from those of the Motion Graphics Designer in their focus on creating cohesive visual assets for both print and digital platforms, ensuring consistency across various media. The Motion Graphics Designer, on the other hand, specializes in creating animated graphics, explainer videos, and enhancing video content with visual effects. Both roles work collaboratively with the Art Director to deliver high-quality, integrated creative solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE
Key Responsibilities include:
Print and 2D Design
- Design high-quality print materials, including brochures, booklets, flyers, posters, and point of sale materials.
- Create visually appealing merchandise designs that align with brand guidelines and resonate with the target audience.
- Develop event stand designs that effectively communicate brand messaging and attract attention.
Digital Design
- Design digital assets for various platforms, including websites, email campaigns, social media, and online display ads.
- Create cohesive and engaging visual content that aligns with marketing strategies and brand identity.
- Develop animations and motion graphics for digital platforms in collaboration with the Motion Graphics Designer.
Brand Identity and Messaging
- Apply new brand identity elements, messaging, graphic devices, and animations across all design projects.
- Ensure consistency in visual design and messaging across all print and digital materials, working closely with the Art Director to evolve and maintain the brand’s visual identity.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with the Art Director, Senior Copywriter, and other team members to develop and execute creative strategies.
- Work with the Motion Graphics Designer to integrate animations and motion graphics into digital assets.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements.
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues.
- You will contribute towards Oliver’s drive for sustainability and change. We’d hope anyone joining our team would share our motivation to do better in terms of sustainability. WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in integrated design or a similar role within an agency or in-house creative department.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of print and digital design projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with animation and motion graphics tools is a plus.
- Exceptional design skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong conceptual and creative thinking abilities, with a passion for storytelling through visual design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in print and digital design.
