We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and are always open to new ideas to solve some of the most interesting challenges out there.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance team for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a focus on intercompany projects. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be based at our HQ in London (Cannon Street) and work in our hybrid model. This senior role is pivotal in driving the strategy, governance, and optimisation of our intercompany processes across the Group, requiring a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep technical expertise.
As Deliveroo scales rapidly, you will lead efforts to ensure intercompany accounting is robust, compliant, and efficient, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging systems like NetSuite to deliver impactful results.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the audit and reconciliation of the intercompany matrix, ensuring accuracy and alignment between NetSuite and the Treasury Management System (Coupa), while guiding the team responsible for execution.
- Act as the senior point of contact for intercompany processes, coordinating with internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, treasury, and regional teams) to align objectives and resolve complex issues.
- Review and approve recommended actions and accounting entries to align intercompany balances across systems and individual records, ensuring compliance with group policies.
- Evaluate and enhance existing intercompany processes and controls, driving improvements to ensure they are scalable, effective, and aligned with best practices.
- Develop and implement strategic recommendations to ensure intercompany accounting transactions comply with IFRS and group accounting policies, fostering consistency across the organization.
- Champion the adoption of automation and technology to streamline intercompany workflows, collaborating with finance and tech teams to identify and implement solutions.
- Lead ad hoc intercompany-related projects, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with broader finance objectives.
- Mentor and guide a small team, fostering development, ensuring high performance, and promoting a collaborative, proactive culture.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with at least 6-8 years of post-qualified experience, including significant time in a senior finance role.
- Proven expertise in overseeing intercompany processes, including multi-currency FX and complex subsidiary relationships, ideally in a global or fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is required; familiarity with Coupa or similar Treasury Management Systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with Looker or similar data analytics tools is an advantage.
- Deep understanding of IFRS and technical accounting, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration and mentoring teams.
- A proactive, pragmatic approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude, capable of navigating ambiguity and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
- Preferably, experience in a relevant industry or high-growth startup, with a focus on process optimisation and scalability.
