Your Role:We are seeking for a highly motivated and skilled instrumentation and telemetry intern to support our instrumentation team. In this role you will have the chance to be supporting design and assembly activities of instrumentation systems (measurements designs, DAQ designs), telemetry system (airborne and ground part), and telemetry ground station (design of the layout of station, power and data connectivity from the telemetry network). Your main point of contact will be instrumentation and telemetry engineers. Duration of internship is at least 6 months.
Your Day to Day:
- Requirements gathering and evaluation.
- Design support for instrumentation activities: sensors, connector, and cables selection, measurement chains tryouts, parameter control.
- Schematics design support for the instrumentation and telemetry wiring.
- Design support for telemetry ground station: workspace layout creation, power and data networks schematics.
- Assembly and Integration support for telemetry ground station (hardware, software, GUI tools).
- Safety compliance analysis and documentation.
- Documentation support for instrumentation and telemetry designs (design description documents, system description documents, etc.).
- Specific ad-hoc projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in telemetry monitoring rooms or similar projects preferred.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and assembly experience required.
- Knowledge in using design software and tools for creating layouts and technical drawings (Microsoft Visio, etc.)
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders effectively.
- Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset to address technical challenges.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent English language skills are essential, German language skills are beneficial.
