As part of our corporate Operational Excellence international team, you will support us in delivering operational improvement projects across the global HelloFresh production value stream. In close collaboration with the international production team and local OpEx resources you will identify operational improvement opportunities, design corresponding improvement initiatives and support the implementation on site. Building on our global footprint and international best-practice sharing, you will help our sites to boost output, launch additional product variations and put new production technologies into practice, while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing error rates.

You will also support the ongoing refinement of our fulfillment center operating model and the codification of knowledge, combining your personal development roadmap and our global knowledge sharing agenda. OpEx members are encouraged globally to contribute to the creation and distribution of expertise on topics such as lean principles, problem-solving methods and performance management.

The international role will be based in our Berlin office but may involve occasional travel to our local fulfilment centers in the European countries (e.g. GER, NL, UK) during the rollout phase.

We understand our interns as an integral part of the team and your contributions will have a direct visible impact to our operations. You will independently manage and drive a workstream, which may be found across the broad range of the teams’ key responsibilities. This may include: 

• Apply lean methodologies to identify operational improvement opportunities on site and support the design and implementation of improvement initiatives
• Extract, manipulate, and analyze data for deriving actionable insights for our ongoing projects
• First line troubleshooting during ramp-up phase and improving training materials for production innovation initiatives at our global sites
• Support our OpEx team in multiple topics regarding the ongoing day-to-day operational business and project work
• Codify knowledge and co-create improvements to our operating model
• Work with international stakeholders from over 20 different countries around the glob 

• An exceptional academic record studying at a top tier college or University, ideally with a focus on (Production) Engineering, Production Management, Operations&SCM or other related fields (Engineering and Business degrees preferred). Candidates from other fields and backgrounds with a passion for lean production are also welcome to apply 
• Strong analytical skills and solid proficiency in Google Suite
• Initial understanding of lean production methodology and interest in operational improvement, previous experience in the manufacturing context is a plus
• Fluent business English knowledge, written and spoken, German is a plus
• Willingness to travel to our European sites
• High level of energy and proactive mindset to learn and contribute in a fast-paced and exciting environment
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
