Internal Communications and Employer Brand Manager

What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a skilled and strategic Internal Communications Manager to join our small and nimble internal communications team here at Consensys. In this role, you will primarily focus on managing and executing the overall internal communications strategy, ensuring clarity, engagement, and alignment across the organization. Additionally, you will allocate a portion of your time to employer branding efforts, promoting our company's culture and values both internally and externally while being mindful of global considerations. Strong attention to design and the ability to create evergreen processes are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities will include:
Internal Communications (75%):
- Execute and collaborate on comprehensive internal communication strategies to keep employees informed, engaged, and motivated, with a keen awareness of global perspectives and cultural nuances.
- Create visually appealing and engaging content for various internal communication channels, leveraging design principles to enhance readability and comprehension including corporate journalism endeavors.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and visually compelling content for diverse global audiences, utilizing multimedia formats where appropriate and applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging across global offices and regions, integrating core values, strategy and clarity of messaging seamlessly into communication materials.
- Proactively gather feedback from key stakeholders to address concerns and improve communication processes, to enhance user experience.
- Develop and implement evergreen processes for internal communications, ensuring sustainability and scalability of communication initiatives over time.
- Continuously evaluate and refine internal communication strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency on a global scale, with a focus on long-term impact and sustainability.
- Provide regular updates and reports on internal communication initiatives to leadership, highlighting progress and processes into the strategy.
- Acute attention to details, excellent writing skills.
Employer Branding (25%):
- Develop and implement employer branding strategies to showcase our company culture, values, and innovation, with a global mindset.
- Collaborate with the brand and external PR marketing team for awards submission, surveys and brand stories to create visually compelling external content, including social media, website, and recruitment materials, to attract top talent and build brand awareness on a global scale.
- Collaborate with HR and marketing teams to promote our employer brand to prospective candidates and the broader industry, leveraging design elements to create memorable brand experiences.
- Track and analyze key metrics related to employer branding efforts and adjust strategies as needed to maximize global impact, incorporating metric-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Overlap of the Two Functions:
- Compelling Storytelling: Identify and curate compelling internal stories that exemplify our company culture and values, ensuring they are suitable for external employer branding opportunities to showcase our authenticity
- Messaging Alignment: Ensure consistency between internal communication messages and some external employer branding to maintain authenticity, transparency and credibility across global audiences, with a cohesive design language.
- Employee Advocacy: Encourage and empower employees to become brand advocates both internally and externally, amplifying our employer brand message with compelling content.
- Culture Promotion: Highlight our company's culture and values in internal communications to foster employee engagement, while also showcasing them externally to attract like-minded talent on a global scale.
- Innovation Integration: Integrate innovative approaches and technologies into both internal communications and employer branding efforts to stay ahead of industry trends and demonstrate our commitment to innovation on a global level, incorporating evergreen processes for sustained impact.
- Demonstrable experience and interest in the web3 space
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in internal communications, with a focus on strategy development, content creation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and persuasive content for diverse audiences.
- Basic understanding of technology and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language.
- Creative thinker with a forward-thinking mindset and a passion for innovation in communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing is a plus.
- Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including Google Workplace and intranet software.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Design Expertise: Proficient knowledge in design tools such as Canva, Google Workplace with a demonstrated ability to create visually compelling communication materials. Experience in multimedia design is a plus.
- Evergreen Processes: Strong knowledge or familiarity with developing and implementing evergreen processes for internal communications and employer branding, ensuring sustainability and scalability of initiatives over time.
- Global Awareness: Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences, global perspectives, and international communication best practices. Experience working in a multicultural environment or managing global communication initiatives is highly desirable.
