We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Communications Manager to join our team on a full-time contract basis, specializing in crafting and refining internal communications content. This role is instrumental in ensuring that our internal messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned with our organizational goals. This role reports to the Director of Communications, Employee Experience, and Engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and edit a variety of compelling internal communications content, including emails, Slack messages, intranet updates, and presentation decks/talking points
  • Ensure employees are well informed of relevant internal news, events, and initiatives
  • Tailor content for different communication channels, optimizing messaging for maximum impact
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex information into easily understandable and engaging content
  • Provide dedicated communication support for specific projects, ensuring consistent and effective messaging throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all internal communication channels, and that communications are in line with Liftoff’s voice, culture, and values

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in content development, editing, and internal communicationsExceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • Skilled at project management and simultaneously balancing multiple priorities effectively
  • Strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong customer focus and employee experience mindset​
  • Ability to act with discretion and always maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to tailor communication strategies to diverse audiences
  • 4+ years of experience

This is a full-time hourly contract position. Preferred location for this position is in the Pacific Time Zone.

Liftoff's Compensation Strategy

Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work. In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location. Liftoff provides employees a total compensation package of competitive market salaries, equity, health and wellness stipends, medical benefits associated with your country of residence. The base compensation will vary based on location, experience as well as level.
