Intern/WS - Product Data Science
The Team:
As a member of the Engineering organization, the Product Analytics & Data Sciences team provides analytic support and a strategic perspective to the product and engineering teams to enable them to make evidence-based conclusions. We deliver actionable insights by collecting, organizing, and interpreting data about user journeys, product telemetry, incidents, infrastructure utilization, sales motions, and much more. We transform data into analytic assets by conducting exploratory analysis, identifying outliers, validating hypotheses, building statistical models, quantifying risk; communicating findings through well-crafted stories and critical recommendations.
The Role:As an Intern/Working Student in the Product Analytics & Data Sciences team, you'll be a valuable support in analyzing data for decision-making in a hyper-growth environment. You'll work closely with engineers and product team members to understand business challenges and assist in creating data solutions.
The work you’ll do:
- Analyze data and provide insights primarily to product and engineering teams
- Present analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders across the organization.
- Create visualizations and written narratives to effectively communicate quantitative insights and facilitate discussions with data-informed perspectives
- Apply statistical analysis, modeling, and machine learning techniques to various product & business data sets to support resource optimization, feature enhancement, and product adoption initiatives.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to to build pipelines
- Actively participate in refining data engineering processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
The qualifications you need:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science
- Seeking an internship with a focus on Product Analytics Engineering or Data Science, collaborating with product, engineering, or growth teams
- Basic proficiency in analytical tools (SQL, Python, Pandas) for data extraction, visualization, and analysis
- Developing understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning concepts.
- Eagerness to gain experience with large datasets and predictive modeling
- Goal-oriented with a keen ability to make decisions and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a growing organization, working with diverse international teams
- First three months full-time availability (internship) and following months 20h/week (working student)
