Position Overview:

StepStone is looking for a detailed-orientated individual who will work for a team that supports the business development efforts of the private debt business of the firm. This team member will interact and collaborate with our clients and very closely with senior professionals across various teams including business development, research and investment across asset classes, legal and compliance, monitoring and reporting, among others, to meet our client’s requirements about the firm’s service offerings and investment vehicles.

The person should have a solid understanding of investments and ideally of private debt, strong project management skills and communication skills.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Work alongside business development to service our existing clients
• Create and prepare pitch books and investment proposals for institutional clients
• Assist and perform ad hoc projects and reviews related to the client servicing function
• Provide input on developing new and enhancing existing presentations content for marketing materials
• Assist with various other client related projects and analyses for the Private Debt team

Qualifications:

• Masters' degree required, concentration in business administration, marketing, or equivalent preferred
• Proficiency in German and English is a must (verbal and written)
• Minimum of 3-6 years of related financial services experience required (private debt, or investment management a plus)
• Highly motivated self-starter, with demonstrated history of taking initiative, being adaptive in a fast-changing environment, and working independently
• Strong ability to multi-task and manage time in a detail-oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Follow up skills and acute attention to accuracy and detail are essential
• Professional designation such as CFA or CAIA is a plus
