About the role: The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering business requirements and creating, analyzing, and enhancing business processes for key business applications. This Analyst will have experience dissecting problems, solving problems, and effectively communicate requirements and process to technical teams and stakeholders. Equally important is the IT Business Analyst's ability to work directly with technical teams and translate technical functions into terms business users understand. The IT Business Analyst possesses a keen ability to see the big picture to identify inefficiencies, recognize points of failure, and leverage key relationships to deliver best-fit solutions.
Your contribution will be:
- User Requirements: Gather and document user requirements for projects, feature enhancements, bugs, or backlog items. Ensure solutions are appropriate to our Salesforce environment and meet business needs. Create relevant artifacts to support development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, and other Nintex business units. Work with each business unit to understand impact of processes to their organizations and ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness through solutions implementation.
- Prioritize Backlog: Weigh competing priorities for projects in a fast-paced environment. Perform analysis to support decision-making and work with stakeholders to get internal agreement on priorities. Build product roadmaps for short, medium, and long-term outlook.
- Technical Bridge: Work as the bridge between non-technical and technical audiences throughout a project’s lifecycle. Work with development teams to understand the required functionality of systems.
- Analyze Business Needs: Understand business processes to identify areas of improvement for processes, systems, software. Build up business knowledge and create documentation to become a subject matter expert in application features or tools.
- User Training: Conduct end-user training for new systems/feature changes, as required.
- Triage Issues: Document issues/bugs with detailed reproduction steps. Triage issues and follow escalation steps as necessary.
- Test Planning: Assist with documenting appropriate test cases and coordinating end-user acceptance testing.
To be successful, we think you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in a IT Business Analyst position
- Must have proven experience working with CRM/ERP applications; Salesforce and/or NetSuite experience is a plus
- Must have strong process analysis skills and ability to identify inefficiencies in technical workflows
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment
- Experience with process mapping and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
