We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role

We are looking for a multifaceted IT Operations Engineer who can be the IT domain expert across our corporate IT team. This position requires a mix of IT skills to improve the company’s technology architecture. You will be responsible for developing and leading implementation of platforms and services across our global engineering and operations functions.

At EpiSci, you will:
  • Manage and maintain our office IT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, and network equipment
  • Design and build out a scalable IT infrastructure for a rapidly growing organization
  • Implement and manage endpoint security controls and ensure systems are patched and up-to-date
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions for Applied Defense resources, following least privilege principles
  • Support conference room technology and audio/visual equipment to enable effective collaboration
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security tools and controls to protect our systems and data
  • Document IT procedures and maintain accurate system inventory records for compliance purposes
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 5-7+ years in IT operations including system administration, server support, project implementation, and desktop support in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with Google Workspace, or other Active Directory systems
  • Experience supporting a diverse range of computer systems, including Linux, Windows, and Mac
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and equipment, such as VPN, DNS, next-gen firewalls, routers, switches, and access points
  • Experience in deploying, integrating, and administering SaaS applications to support business needs
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations, handle multiple priorities, and remain disciplined and flexible
  • Experience working with Government/Defense IT systems and familiarity with their unique requirements
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and security control frameworks, such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and CIS
  • Security+ certification required
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Secret/Top Secret Clearance eligibility
Nice to have:
  • Other industry certifications such as Network+, A+, etc.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms and maintaining mobile security
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automating IT operations tasks
  • Experience with security information and event management tools (SIEM) for monitoring and incident response
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience managing cloud-based infrastructure
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automating common IT tasks and processes
