The Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our Global IT team. In this role, you will be overseeing our technology infrastructure, budgeting and negotiating our software contracts to obtain the most value, and collaborating with our IT business partners around the world to ensure the seamless integration of the hardware and software platforms that support our business. Reporting to the VP of Global Information Security and Compliance, you’ll be responsible for the Global IT budget and oversee the IT Procurement function, including hardware purchasing, software licensing and renewals, budget planning, and vendor contract negotiations. You’ll work closely with the IT Support team in New York and Los Angeles to ensure all processes (help desk, onboarding/offboarding, policy enforcement, and more) are being executed at a high level, and you’ll work with our Network and Systems Engineer to design a modern and secure network infrastructure in our new and existing office locations.

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead all IT Procurement functions, including hardware purchasing, software licensing and renewals, budget planning, and vendor contract negotiations
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Global IT team, meeting with IT partners in EMEA and APAC regularly to ensure consistent policy approach and to share resources when applicable
  • Remove roadblocks for the IT Support team and help resolve escalated requests from our ticketing system
  • Own the relationship with our third party IT vendors and software providers, ensuring we get the most value from our partnerships
  • Serve as the primary IT stakeholder and consultant for new office builds around the world
  • Collaborate with our Finance, HR, Legal, and Office Operations teams to help integrate technology solutions that enhance business processes and workflows
  • Partner with IT Security on any cross-functional security initiatives 
  • Help with project management and implementation for any new IT initiatives proposed by senior management
  • Lead weekly meeting with Global IT team, documenting and following up with team members on action items
  • Flexibility to wear many hats and jump into any project in the IT sphere with enthusiasm

Desired Experience:

 

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in an IT management role, preferably at a startup company
  • Strong experience in budget management and resource planning
  • Extensive experience with software contract negotiation, legal reviews, and platform usage auditing
  • Experience negotiating contracts with annual cost over $1M
  • Experience with office moves and new office construction from an IT perspective
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and IT security best practices in cloud-first environments
  • Experience being part of a globally-distributed IT team with shared resources
  • Experience with a IT help desk team, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and the ability to solve escalations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • An innate passion for helping others, and a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Extensive experience as an administrator for the following tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Office 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong experience in managing Apple macOS devices in an enterprise environment using MDMs such as JAMF or Mosyle
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows PC deployment and management
  • Experience with implementing Single Sign On (SSO) and strong skills with identity management and authentication tools
  • Some experience with A/V setup and live streaming town hall events
  • Familiarity with APIs, automation, reporting, and some coding experience
