We’re always on the search for amazing people. People who have a deep passion for what they do and are masters at their craft. Right now we are looking for a Jira Admin to join our Elastic IT Team. The team is responsible for supporting critical business operations while pushing the limits of our various SaaS platforms.
You will thrive in navigating ambiguity, adapt quickly to a changing environment, take a global view, be data-driven, and have a passion for optimizing processes and structure. You balance critical thinking on the achievement of goals with hands-on delivery to ensure what needs to happen today gets done.
What You Will Be Doing:
- This role will be a combination of a Jira specialist responsible for configuration and support of the Engineering and IT Jira Cloud instance and agile/scrum support for key IT projects and processes.
- Jira Admin
- Expert for consultation, configuration, upgrades, resource allocation, change management, technical assistance, training, and user management.
- Perform day-to-day operations like creation and management of all work processes and settings in Jira including, but not limited to request queues, project templates, custom forms and fields, layout templates, milestones, approvals, teams, groups, statuses, reports, dashboards, portfolio management, program management, and notifications.
- Agile Scrum Support
- Worked within an agile development environment, updating stories, Kanban Boards, and epics to facilitate project progress and reporting.
- Act as a peer mentor to other Scrum Masters
- Guide the team/organization on Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices
- Build and foster a trusting, safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution with an emphasis on problem-solving.
- Facilitate work completion without coercion or dictating the work.
- Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Assist with internal/external communication
- Additional activities, such as regular reporting on team performance and maturity, periodic presentations/conversations with leadership, etc., in support and pursuit of agile growth and maturity of teams and the organization.
What You Will Bring:

- Minimum 2 years of Jira Administrative experience
- Minimum 3 years of Agile/Scrum experience
- Previous experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid Methodologies
- Bachelors degree
- Plus for any Certifications (i.e. ScrumMaster, Product Owner, PMP, CSM, etc.)
- Plus for any SmartSheets experience
- Be Great!
