âOur Reward team
Weâre looking for a Job Architecture expert to join us on a 12-month FTC and help build something from the ground up. Someone who doesnât just understand levelling and structure, but is energised by the idea of exploring innovative solutions and creating something that will help shape the future of Monzo.
Monzo is growing quickly, and we want to build a structure that grows with us. One thatâs fair, clear, and designed to support people, not slow them down. We want everyone here to understand how they can progress, how their role fits into the bigger picture, and how we reward impact. Thatâs where you come in.
This isnât about fixing what already exists. Itâs about creating something new from the ground up. Youâll design the whole thing: how we define roles, how we think about levels, and how that connects with our pay approach and people systems.
Youâll be the person who brings it all to life. Building the framework. Guiding the process. Helping everyone understand not just what weâre doing, but why it matters.
If youâve done this before at scale, and youâre excited by complexity, clarity and meaningful change, weâd love to hear from you.
đYouâll play a key role byâŚ
This isnât a small tweak to an existing system. Itâs a company-wide transformation. Youâll be designing the structure that helps Monzo scale with clarity, fairness and purpose.
Hereâs what the work looks like:
- Youâll take full ownership of researching and establishing Monzoâs future approach to Job Architecture. Youâll align it with our long-term company vision, growth plans, and evolving technology.
- Youâll research and design the Job Architecture methodology, processes and how it will be applied and managed on an ongoing basis.
- Youâll consider how we benchmark roles, how we define job families and levels, and how we support career progression.
- Youâll lead the project end-to-end. From discovery through design to delivery, youâll set the pace and make sure it lands well across the business.
- Youâll run key conversations across Monzo. That includes listening deeply to teams, shaping the right solutions, and clearly communicating the final framework and how it works in practice.
- Most importantly, youâll act as our expert advisor. Youâll offer clear, strategic guidance rooted in best practice but shaped for whatâs right for Monzo.
This is the kind of work that touches every team. Done well, it creates clarity, fairness and opportunity for everyone.
𤊠Weâd love to hear from you ifâŚ
- You have extensive experience with researching, designing and implementing Job Architecture frameworks with a global mindset and advise on best fit and practice
- You have developed and implemented internal role levelling frameworks and have detailed knowledge of market benchmarking techniques
- You have experience in project management including vendor management
- You have Fintech / Start up / Scaling experience
- Understand the interaction between a HRIS and Job Architecture framework
