As the Data scientist at FirstVet, your expertise will be instrumental in improving our services, optimizing pricing models, and ensuring personalized care for pets and their owners. In a rapidly evolving digital veterinary landscape, your role is essential for shaping the future of animal healthcare.

You'll work with building, adjusting, and evaluating models, turning raw data into actionable insights. You will be part of the Data team and focus on creating data pipelines and improving data structures, setting the stage for valuable analysis. You’ll get the chance to drive many different projects across our organisation, such as optimal pricing modeling, propensity scores, cluster analysis and building new data variables in existing data infrastructure. Further, you will be responsible for effectively communicating results and progress to stakeholders within the whole organization.

• Find valuable insights that allows us to improve our business
• Develop machine learning and AI models that allow us to gain deeper insight and develop our business
• Develop and enrich our data structures
• Develop data structures and tools that allow us to do the first two responsibilities more effectively and/or more efficiently

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a passion for data analysis and a knack for uncovering meaningful insights. We value candidates who are naturally curious, adaptable to change, and dedicated to continuous learning. As a team player, you'll collaborate effectively while also being self-driven and solution-oriented.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1-3 years of experience working with data science
• Experience in SQL (we use PostgreSQL)
• Experience in R or Python
• Speaks English fluently
• Beneficial if you have experience with DBT
