The Junior Accountant will primarily support the Accounts Receivable Manager with daily cash application, customer billing, and customer collections. In addition, the accountant will assist with tasks across all of accounting as needed. This role provides the opportunity for someone to learn about multiple areas of accounting and Movable Ink’s business.

Responsibilities:

  • Own daily cash application of customer receipts
  • Assist with invoicing and collections
  • Engage with past due clients via phone and/or email and achieve payment resolution
  • Communicate delinquent account status to accounting team weekly
  • Record journal entries within the company’s ERP
  • Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including Accounts Receivable
  • Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Assist with audit requests
  • Support the accounting team with special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or prior proven accounting experience
  • Experience with a fast-paced, growing company is a plus
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong communication skills

The base pay range for this position is $65,000-$75,000/year, which can include additional on-target commission pay/bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
