Smarkets is a peer-to-peer exchange platform for betting and trading on sport and politics. We operate two main consumer products - the Smarkets exchange and SBK sportsbook app - in the UK, US, and other global markets.We are currently looking for a committed new team member to join our success story. Reporting to the Compliance Operations Team Lead, as a Junior Compliance Operations Analyst the primary function is to protect the company from exposure to money laundering, specifically in regards to onboarding new customers and ongoing monitoring of existing customers.

• Conduct KYC checks for new and existing customers

• First-line review for politically exposed persons and adverse media

• Assist with due diligence reviews on customer accounts

• Assisting the wider compliance team with ongoing projects

• Working closely with the wider compliance team and company

• Keen interest in iGaming and ready to build a career in compliance

• Passionate about learning

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Level C2 required) - customer contacts may be made via email or phone

• You are able to work a flexible schedule, sometimes including weekends and public holidays

• Excellent attention to detail 

• Good typing/keyboard skills and computer literacy
