Job Description: 

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel (m/f/x) at KONUX, you will contribute to the fast growth of a scaling company in the AI space. You will provide legal advice to the whole organization on different legal topics, working closely with our General Counsel and internal stakeholders. You will deal with a wide range of complex matters, spanning multiple domains from (international) public procurement- and trade law to corporate- and information technology (IT) & intellectual property (IP) law. Apart from the legal substantive matters, you will also own and execute legal admin and proactively improve legal related workflows and collaboration. You understand the basics of project management and can live up to short- and long-term timelines, whilst always having the bigger picture in the back of your mind. The role provides ample learning opportunities and requires you to take ownership and push to completion.

Your Impact:

  • Provide legal advice to the KONUX departments
  • Review, draft and negotiate employee, customer, supplier and partnership contracts in close cooperation with stakeholders in the human resources, sales, engineering, operations, customer delivery and supply chain teams
  • Support the assurance of conformity with applicable data protection laws (e.g. the GDPR)
  • Support the execution of our IP strategy in a complex environment
  • Support the corporate housekeeping 
  • Support executing corporate governance tasks
  • Provide legal training for different departments
  • Coordinate external legal advisors

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in law or business law; ideally you have passed both state law examinations in Germany or even have first working experience in a start-up, a big law firm or a mid-sized company
  • You are curious to understand new technologies, new areas of law and to work in a fast paced environment
  • You have strong organizational and analytical skills
  • You possess first-class interpersonal and communication skills
  • You have strong basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency, ability to learn and work with new tools (like G-Suite, Slack etc.)
  • You have full business fluency in German and full working proficiency in English
  • You are a team player
