We are looking for a Junior Recipe Editor to support the HelloFresh and Chefs Plate weekly recipe card process. Reporting to the Product Operations Manager and working closely with the Recipe Editors, you will play a key role in ensuring customer-facing content is clear and correct, all in the pursuit of error-free recipes. We seek your fresh perspective on our current process to help us evolve more efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to interact with global partners through monthly connections to share and learn best practices.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for

  • Support the Editorial team with weekly check-points reviewing recipe copy content and customer-facing information for HelloFresh and Chefs Plate
  • Ensure consistency and quality across recipe copy content and customer-facing information
  • Support the weekly editorial workload effectively and collaborate with the Editorial team to ensure all weekly deadlines are met.
  • Support dynamic weekly recipe edits in response to menu changes that can arise.
  • Support tracking of recipe copy content and customer-facing errors by supporting the use of internal change tracker tools to create an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Support short-term and long-term editorial-based projects when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with recipe developers and other culinary stakeholders to maintain and update style guides.
  • Complete data and content clean-up tasks or projects that impact recipe card information when needed.
  • Collaborate with our customer care team to resolve customer's concerns that may appear on our recipe cards.
  • Support the French translation division of the editorial team with information management (sending and receiving translations to external teams) when needed.
  • All other duties, as assigned 

Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for

  • 0-2 years of experience supporting a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in editing, proofreading, writing, and content creation
  • An eye for detail - you’ll catch the smallest of things; recipe inconsistencies, typos, misspelled words and grammatical errors
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple deadlines in a given week
  • Confidence in your work and abilities - you’re able to problem-solve independently 
  • Obsessed and/or experienced with food so you can work closely with the Culinary team
  • A curiosity to seek and implement process improvement is an asset
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) is an asset
  • Exposure to recipe writing, recipe development and recipe editing is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of recipe/cooking techniques used within recipes is an asset
