As the Knowledge and Technical Enablement Director, you will play a critical role in building out the Enablement Team’s learning experience and technical enablement infrastructure & programming. We see this role as an opportunity to contribute greatly to the company’s culture of continued learning and growth, while actively influencing the way sellers, partners and customers experience enablement. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to conceive, develop, produce and present high-quality, pixel-perfect digital deliverables that support impactful sales, partner and technical enablement programs. All of this impactful work will be delivered while working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure programs and assets are scalable, repeatable and measurable across our audiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and build out our Learning Content and Technical enablement functions on the Fastly Sales Enablement team
  • Create inclusive and scalable training programs that use industry best practices and adult learning theories to enhance the revenue, partner and customer organizations initial onboarding and continuous learning experiences
  • Create and scale out an ‘on demand’ resource center of micro video enablement assets aimed at leveling up employee, partner and customer engagement and help to elevate the level of product knowledge across the team
  • Develop team and individual KPIs to evaluate and report on the effectiveness and success of training/content initiatives
  • Leverage data and needs assessments to drive improvements with our onboarding and ongoing training programs, support processes, and knowledge base (CMS) content
  • Deliver enablement and learning programs/assets to sales, partner and customer audiences via various methods (in-person, virtual, video, web), adjusting delivery based upon audience type, level, class size, content, etc.

What We're Looking For: 

  • 5-7 years of experience building and leading learning/content teams in a rapidly scaling organization, preferably supporting a SaaS product led growth company
  • Proven track record of developing instructional and curriculum design for remote and hybrid work environments with an in-depth understanding of virtual-based learning methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into easily understood concepts
  • Experience and expertise with Learning Management Systems (HighSpot) and Project Management (Trello)
  • Exceptional technical/non-technical coaching skills and a desire to empower others to do their best work
  • Fundamental understanding of single sign-on (e.g. Okta, OneLogin), directory services (Active Directory, LDAP), server administration and management, networking, cloud, and on-prem storage
  • Has the ability to work independently in a remote environment (detail oriented, balance multiple project/tasks, meet deadlines, and quickly learn new systems), with travel as needed

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

  • ATD Master Instructional Designer Certification or equivalent
  • Experience in systems engineering and deep understanding of workplace and enterprise technologies (e.g. Windows, macOS, Linux/UNIX command-line, basic shell scripting)
  • Experience working with or for various channel partners (managed service providers, value added resellers, etc.)

Work Hours: 

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours. 

Work Location and Travel Requirements: 

This position is open to the following office location:

  • New York City (This is a HYBRID role working from the NYC Fastly office approximately 2 days/week)

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. 

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary: 

The estimated salary range for this position is $181,220 to $226,520.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
