Now, we are a global food solutions group and the world's leading meal kit company, active in 18 countries across 3 continentsAbout the RoleHelloFresh is looking for a highly-motivated, part-qualified accountant to business partner with the HelloFresh Stock Operations team, leading the financial control and analysis of stock movements and working closely with the Waste teams. This role will be a key member of the Financial Control team, focusing primarily on stock control (process and analysis), including reducing working capital and optimising waste as part of our core business values. 

You will do this through thoughtful and insightful reporting and Supply Chain Management analyses. You will be organised with a keen eye for detail and should genuinely enjoy analyzing data, implementing change and building strong non-financial relationships.

This role will also be supporting the Head of Financial Control by assisting with a variety of month-end processes and reporting both within the UK and at a Global level.  This will include variance analysis on Cost Centre Reporting, full ownership of Fixed Assets, weekly cash forecasting & intercompany postings, month-end planning and P&L and BS file ownership.

This is a varied and challenging role that would suit an ambitious self-starter looking to take their experience to the next level including becoming a stock management expert whilst also upskilling in other key financial control areas.

Your responsibilities… 

  • Stock Reporting: weekly stock reconciliation, financial margin analysis, gathering all stock financial data to prepare analysis and analyze trends. 
  • Reporting: Analyze period-over-period fluctuations and provide insightful commentary of key business drivers; respond timely to inquiries through research and analysis.
  • Business Partnership: You work closely with other Finance functions and the teams that run our supply chain to provide further insight into financial metrics, and work with other functions to improve processes.
  • Projects: Devise proposals to improve accounting processes in order to shorten time to close, improve controls and ensure scalability as the business grows.
  • Value inventory and manage relationships with DC personnel to ensure inventory processes and counts are complete and accurate.
  • Business partner with the Waste team to streamline processes, manage Company Shop and optimise waste
  • Investigate and resolve inventory irregularities, providing solutions and guidance.
  • Fixed asset process owner including creating assets, reconciling balance sheets and troubleshooting discrepancies. 
  • Weekly cashflow reporting and other treasury requirement such as managing multi-currency and intercompany intercompany loans.
  • Variance analysis: explaining favourable and adverse budget variances through detailed exploratory analysis
  • Audits: Ensure audit preparedness and compliance. Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility. 
  • Owning the cost centre reporting, and providing insights on fixed and overhead costs presented to the management board.
  • Own month-end reporting packs that provide insights & analysis vs budget and forecast.
  • Communicating on a regular basis and exchanging ideas and best practices with our global team
  • Be a leader in the finance team working across the team

Location: 50/50 Hybrid split between home & The HelloFresh Farm, 60 Worship Street, EC2A 2EZ, London
