Lead, Finance Business Partner Tech (m/f/x)
As a Lead, Tech Controlling Manager, you will be an integral part of HelloFresh's mission to empower our Tech Leadership team with financial insights, data-driven strategies, and processes that elevate the effectiveness of how we invest our Tech resources. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing operational excellence, and driving a measurable impact on ROI. You will work on strategic initiatives to refine the quality of our data, increase measurement accuracy, and ensure budget adherence.
What you’ll do- Develop and implement a long-term vision for HelloTech controlling processes to support our Global Leadership teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Accounting, People, Finance Systems and Automation to enhance and automate reporting in relation to Tech investments and costs to meet the needs of senior stakeholders.
- Support Tech Leadership in the creation and review of business cases as part of the HelloTech yearly planning process.
- Coordinate the quarterly budget process for Tech & Data personnel, collaborating with Tech leadership to ensure an accurate and timely submission.
- Analyze and report on Tech expenditure versus budget and prior periods, using data to identify trends and insights and to support decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Support the Accounting team, Tech Leadership and our external auditors with in-depth analysis of IT capitalisation versus budget.
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, financial analysis, and forecasting with a good understanding of accounting for personnel costs.
- Proven experience writing or reviewing business cases using metrics such as IRR or NPV. Previous experience with IT capitalisation is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial insights to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
