We are seeking a talented Lead Platform Engineer to join the Edwin team. In this key role, you will design, implement, and maintain critical business integrations and backend applications, ensuring high-quality development and seamless system functionality. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, driving the implementation of new features and building scalable solutions. As a core team member, you will leverage your deep technical expertise to diagnose and address complex application challenges across a large distributed application. You'll partner with colleagues to enhance systems and drive continuous improvement across the platform.

  • Iterative Development: Plan and prioritize deliverables using an iterative approach, ensuring timely and efficient software releases.
  • System Architecture & Implementation: Architect, document, develop, and test new features and enhancements within the Edwin application.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various LogicMonitor teams to deliver software products that drive business growth.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide team members through design and implementation, promoting best practices and high-quality code.
  • Requirements Analysis: Translate business needs into system features and functionalities that align with strategic objectives.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve escalated product and application issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Distributed Team Engagement: Collaborate within a global development organization (US, UK, and Asia) sharing knowledge and contributing to tech talks.
  • Process & Performance Optimization: Continuously refine development processes, address performance challenges, and enhance deployment strategies.
What You'll Need:
  • 8+ years of commercial or enterprise software development, including at least
  • 6+ years of full-time Java development
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with Kotlin and/or Scala
  • Proven success building and scaling real-time streaming applications
  • Proficiency in REST, microservices, containerization (Kubernetes), and event streaming (e.g., Kafka)
  • Familiarity with JUnit, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex, distributed systems
  • Deep understanding of Linux

Compensation packages at LogicMonitor for eligible roles include base salary, a variable plan depending on role, along with comprehensive benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary target for new hires in the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. LogicMonitor employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. The Base Salary range for this role is:$158,400—$208,000 USD
