This role sits within the Risk Team which is responsible for the identification, assessment, management, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of the risks associated with Luno’s operations.

As a Risk Analyst, you will focus on the entire company’s risk profile. You will assist the Global Head of Risk in identifying risks within the workplace and also come up with solutions to remediate those risks while assisting risk owners in implementing the solution. You will spend most of your time collaborating with other teams to understand their processes, assist in risk assessments against those processes, report findings and assist risk owners in implementing risk-avoiding solutions.

• Assist in updating, maintaining and improving the Group Risk Management Framework and risk management documentation (i.e., risk registers).
• Think outside the box to envision risks that might be otherwise unnoticeable to the organisation.
• Identify organisational risks that the company may face (i.e, gather and analyse data to identify potential risk trends and vulnerabilities).
• Assist in operational loss and incident management.
• Come up with solutions to make risk-avoiding adjustments to current methods of operation in order to minimise their future risks (i.e., conduct research and stay updated on emerging risks in the cryptocurrency landscape).
• Propose remediation plans to decrease risk factors (i.e., participate in risk mitigation initiatives and contribute to the development of control procedures).
• Assist with the preparation of regular risk reports for senior management and Boards.
• Stay informed on relevant regulations and industry best practices in risk management.
• Document and update changes to company policies and assist with training initiatives for staff so that they can be aware of the risks and try to avoid them.
• Assist the information security team in assessing processes, policies and workflows in accordance with the company risk management framework.

• At least 3 years of risk management related experience or a proven track record in risk analysis or audit methodologies.
• A risk management or audit certificate or diploma
• A passion for risk assessment and audit processes.
