THE ROLE
Key responsibilities
The Lead Service Transition Manager is a vital role within Agilisys and this role will ensure that new or changed IT services are transitioned smoothly into operations, aligning with business requirements and minimising impact on existing services while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Specific duties
Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following:
- Overseeing Transition Projects: Manage and direct multiple service transition projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and ITIL frameworks.
- Resource Management: Allocate and optimise resources including personnel, technology, and budget across transition projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main liaison for senior stakeholders, effectively communicating project progress and issues.
- Change Management Supervision: Oversee all change management processes, ensuring proper evaluation, authorisation, and documentation.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality controls and ensure all transitions adhere to regulatory and internal standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in service transitions and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators for service transition processes and report findings to management.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Continuously seek and implement improvements in service transition processes for greater efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the service transition team, promoting a collaborative and skilled workforce.
- Knowledge Management and Training: Facilitate the capture and sharing of knowledge and conduct training to keep the team up to date with industry trends.
- Foster a collaborative approach by building and nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders, both within Agilisys and with external partners, to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Embrace a culture of innovation and agility, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and adaptation.

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in IT service management, particularly in service transition processes.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Proficient in project management, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with various teams and levels of management.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies in IT service transitions.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- ITIL certification, preferably at the Intermediate or Expert level.
- Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is highly desirable.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with specific service management tools and software.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and their application in service management.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead role within IT service management or a related field.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of implementing process enhancements.
