At Databricks we are on a mission to empower our customers to solve the world's toughest data problems by utilizing the Data Intelligence Platform. As a customer-facing Lead Solutions Architect, you will be interfacing with the C-level at our top accounts/partners in APJ to establish trusted relationships and ensure that the Data Intelligence Platform becomes the de facto standard for all their Data and AI ambitions. You will report to the VP of Field Engineering APJ.

The impact you will have:

  • Build "trusted advisor" relationships with C-level executives in our top accounts/partners in APJ
  • Help shape C-level thinking around radical simplification of data architecture and the role of the Lakehouse and Databricks vision in meeting their current and future data/AI needs.
  • Proactively drive frequent C-level facing activities with our top accounts/partners to secure the platform decision in favour of Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
  • Work closely with the Product Specialist organization to provide feedback to Product Engineering and Management based on the requirements of top accounts/partners
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership content for major publications and Databricks events in APJ to win C-level mindshare
  • Participate in executive briefings for top customers/partners
  • Run a mentoring program focused on identifying FE APJ staff that can elevate into a CTO role over time and advise on Principal level promotions
  • Maintain L200/300 capability and Professional level certifications across all Databricks products
  • Role model for all Databricks cultural principles

What we look for:

  • 10+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer conversations and relationships at the C-level for relevant accounts/partners
  • Ability to have business-focussed conversations with customer/partner executives and then credibly map that to a very technical conversation around solutions and features for technical audiences
  • Proven ability to influence and persuade C-level stakeholders to align with the Databricks Lakehouse vision and adopt the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
  • Experience collaborating and negotiating with Product Engineering and Specialists to ensure prioritization of products and features that will drive platform adoption in top APJ customers
  • Recognized deep technical expert within the Data and AI Industry with specific expertise in Databricks
  • Track record of developing solutions that help Databricks scale in the form of blogs, webinars, press articles/interviews, and technical know-how to the FE community and beyond
  • Ability to generalize field patterns into reference architectures and re-usable solutions
  • Experience in technical and/or leadership coaching and mentoring
  • Role model for all Databricks cultural principles
