Learning & Development Manager

The Chicago-based Learning & Development Manager will support our growth strategy by designing content and delivering training to our employees, with a focus on soft skills training such as business skills, presentation skills, problem-solving and communications.
While the role will be based in Chicago and work a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week in-office), you will also support the development of our teams in Australia and New Zealand by facilitating virtual workshops to coincide with their working day. You will also deliver in person workshops in the APAC region once per year.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience within a corporate environment, developing and presenting content. You should have a passion for developing others, a desire to collaborate with coworkers and embrace a fast-paced working environment. In your role, you will champion employee growth and development while creating a fun environment for Mintel employees on their continuous learning path.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Facilitating Training Sessions: Delivering training content via workshops, on-demand learning and coaching, to create effective and impactful learning experiences.
- Content Creation: Designing engaging and interactive workshops and post program resources, for both in-person and virtual delivery, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with the company’s goals.
- Supporting Business Initiatives: Collaborating with senior stakeholders to assist with key projects, and ad hoc requests to provide knowledge of relevant learning trends, best practices and modern technologies.
- Leading Mintel’s Annual Talent Development Program: Designing program content to support learning objectives for the annual cohort. Partnering with external training providers to align with learning objectives. Communicating globally with stakeholders, cohorts and managers.
- Driving Onboarding Best Practices: Elevating the new starter experience by driving best practices throughout the global business. This will be done through the design of regional programs and materials as well as support for individual departments onboarding curriculum.
- Evaluating Learning Programs : Measuring the effectiveness of learning programs using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to continuously improve the quality and impact of learning initiatives.
