Role: Learning and Development Administrator

About the role:

Working as part of a high energy and creative L&D team, this is a stimulating and busy role that has responsibility for a variety of L&D related activities. Alongside making a key contribution to delivering learning and development, this role is responsible for driving a culture of excellence that supports the company’s values of inclusion, diversity, sustainability and equality. 

What you will be doing:

Learning Management System – Curation and Administration 

  • As a key point of contact for our Learning Management System (LMS) - you will proactively identity and curate content for the platform, through collaboration with the wider L&D team and by understanding requirements from the business.
  • Access and understand the LMS as an administrative user to troubleshoot any system related issues, generate reports and support new users.   
  • Manage all administrative tasks in the LMS efficiently: e.g. ensuring that relevant pathways and content are allocated accurately.
  • Actively participate in the growth of the platform by identifying business needs then answering these needs with digital training content.  
  • Develop successful collaborations with our platform providers.  Keep abreast of changes and updates to the platform and regularly communicate your finding and ideas for improvement with the rest of the L&D team.  

 Facilitation & Delivery 

  • Support on the creation and delivery of L&D sessions as directed by L&D team colleagues.  
  • Project manage program development under the direction of senior members of the L&D team and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate about upcoming L&D in the most appropriate format.
  • Supporting internal colleagues and external partners to deliver in-person and virtual learning and development sessions.
  • Virtual: event planning and ensuring that the technology runs smoothly and assisting with set-up, recording and breakout rooms. Providing support/technical demonstrations beforehand if required.  
  • In-person: event planning, set up and ensuring that the event space is ready, equipped, and any guests are welcomed and prepared in time. To clarify whether there will be any filming/streaming of the session, setting up links to record/liaise with the video team as required. 

 Administration 

  • Proactively manage the L&D team inbox to ensure that requests are dealt with quickly and effectively, within 48 hours from receipt of message. Advising on all learning and development enquiries, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all feel valued and invested in.
  • Proactively manage the L&D calendar and schedule sessions.
  • Scheduling, organising and providing administrative support for all L&D initiatives.
  • Actively collaborate with the L&D Partners day-to-day to ensure that the L&D team administration is responsive and efficient.

  • Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise own workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to influence.
